JAMES BLUNDELL QUOTE REGARDING SHORES AUSTRALIA
Posted: 20 April 2007
I have been involved with David Bloomfield and the Aston Hill project from the moment I saw the model in 2004. It was after seeing the site that I agreed to endorse the project publicly without a fee. For my involvement I was given unlimited use of an apartment in the existing plaza complex for holidays with my family and that of my business partner, Neil Richards.
As a property owner in the region I have an ongoing attachment to the mid North Coast being maintained as an area of outstanding natural beauty. I totally support David in his initiative to promote low impact development in the region and have witnessed his distress at the current crisis first hand. Development is a vicious industry and my knowledge of the financial intricacies are limited to the point of being non existent. But what I do know is that David's intent has always been totally focussed on benefiting the Port Macquarie community by providing gainful and ongoing local employment through both the building and maintenance stages of his properties.
I will categorically refute that there has been any deceit employed in any part of the process, and have profound sympathy for David that during a particularly painful period of time his motives and integrity have been called into question. I know him to be a man of both massive moral integrity and fearless vision and support him through his current situation."
